like herding cats

Yes. This would be Blog Number 1. Not much to say, other than I've decided, due to stupid Internet drama, which I have no interest in what so ever, that I would start new. Start fresh. Yes I'll still check MySpace, because my best friend from 2nd Grade may still be out there and might find me. And I'll still stalk LiveJournal... key word stalk, which made me sound like I'm part of whatever the drama may be... I just need to move on.

Satire and Social commentary is welcome. I just need inspiration to do it myself, because I find that currently the Daily Show, The New Yorker, and The Colbert Report are doing a fantastic job of fulfilling that hole right now, and what good would I do in it? Maybe it's just my secret urge to be witty, clever, insightful, and have people think I'm witty, clever, insightful and wish they had come up with it first.

But who am I kidding, because I'm really not a megalomaniac, and really am happy people find humor in really disturbing things. I was reading The New Yorker the other day and consistently laugh at the fact that all drawings of our current commander and chief *snerk* are all funny. When I said this to a friend of mine while reading it, they said, "I don't find anything funny about that man." I guess it's all about perspective, but I must always find the humor in the ridiculous, because it's a way better way to cope than clenching to the pain. Like herding cats... some may get REALLY irritated by how stubborn those pesky feline buggers are, and others such as myself laugh at either the concept or the idea that one would try such a daunting endevour.

Anyhow, here's to new beginnings. Let's see where this ride takes us, and see if anyone is as intrigued by the Czech Navy, or the prospect of a Czech Navy, as I am.
